A MODERN FAERIE TALE
Comedy - Official Selection

Cameron, a young business executive is enjoying his lunch in the park when he makes an unexpected and unexplained acquaintance. Troy is your average barista, what sets him apart, however, are faerie wings and a mission. Cameron is unsure of his new friend and cautiously begins a dialogue that will change his worldview forever. Troy the Faerie believes in sharing the struggles as well as the good news about his special minority group, evidence of which is in the media. Cameron's skepticism is laid to rest as Troy the Faerie reveals to him a world that's been under his nose the whole time. And a struggle for rights not unlike those suffered by many special interest groups. Insights are learned and myths debunked. All except for one myth which is true to all faeries... 'A Modern Faerie Tale' is inspired by James M. Barrie. Wendy: "There are always a lot of young ones," explained Wendy, who was now quite an authority, "because you see when a new baby laughs for the first time a new fairy is born, and as there are always new babies there are always new fairies. They live in nests on the tops of trees; and the mauve ones are boys and the white ones are girls, and the blue ones are just little sillies who are not sure what they are." Peter: "...every time a child says, 'I dont believe in fairies,' there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead." Peter Pan James M. Barrie
